"They Gave The Last Full Measure Of Devotion"
This project is an emotional testament to heroism, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion! This piece incorporates the Oklahoma City Fire Department memorial artwork alongside a life-sized bronze sculpture of a firefighter, symbolizing bravery and resilience. It stands as a blazing beacon of our deepest values—"We Will Honor" and "We Will Never Forget"—resounding with an unbreakable vow to remember their bravery and sacrifices that define true heroism!
The installation itself is a formidable tribute—towering over with a 6'2" bronze guardian, surrounded by three commanding pedestals, six gleaming bronze plaques, and lighting that shines like the fire of remembrance itself! This sculpture aches with emotion, capturing the spirit of those who have selflessly served, forever etching their legacy into our hearts.
And the 9-foot granite monument—salvaged from the very heart of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building—becomes a sacred memorial, bearing the engraved names of fallen firefighters.
Artists Shahla Reynolds and Cyrus Reynolds collaborated on the development of this project. The Oklahoma City Building Management team served as the construction team for this initiative. The project was officially completed and dedicated in October 2017.
