During COVID-19 Quarantine, I started a series of “Live” paintings titled ”Rising Phoenix” . This was the first in the series: “Cherry Blossoms”.

Spring was coming and we were still inside. Every morning, as I walked to my studio, I could see these little cherry blossoms on the trees.

It was so amazing to see that in spit of everything else, natural was still thriving and moving forward. These small gestures of hope were something we all needed at that time.
